This is a mature park built prior to rigs with slide outs. We were as far to the right as the curb would allow and missed the pedestal on the other side by less than 1”. Sites are level so nothing was needed once the legs were down. The trees and bushes made a good wind break so the 25mph winds were not a bother. Friendly people in the office and the resident dog “Bud” lead you to your site on the south half of the park not used by long term residents. There is a pond adjacent to the south edge used to irrigate the almond groves with a large squeaky pump running 24 hours. It was not a problem with the windows closed but just don’t be the closest to the noise. The place is close to I-5 but the highway noise does not intrude. It makes for a nice stop halfway between here and there.

If you grew up on a family farm with a herd of cattle, sheep, goats and chickens this place will bring back memories. The same barnyard aroma and accompanying flying pests go right along with the animals. This KOA has pens near the office with goats, sheep and chickens for the campers to get close to along with a heard of sheep in a small pasture next to the entrance road. Not connected to the KOA but all along two sides of this large park is pasture land for a couple of herds of cattle who make themselves known. The first three days it was in the 80’s and the aroma got pretty ripe with lots of flies. Our last three days were cool, cloudy and wet. No smell or flies. So plan your stop here when it is cool. The park has nice facilities, a large dog park with many paved pull through sites in the short term area of the south half of the park. Leveling may be a challenge as the park is built on a rolling hillside and even when they try hard to grade the sites there is a still lot of slope to work with. The staff is friendly and the highway is far enough away so it isn’t noticeable. We came here for the wine country and the location worked out well. If the park were an island I would give it an 8 or 9. But as a destination park for the enjoyment of a family the surroundings do not make it enjoyable.

During the year since our last visit it looks like most all of the improvements begun last year have been completed. There are four rows of long term sites on the north end of the park which have not been touched but are not an eyesore and are out of the way. The sites in the 300 section on the south end were dirt/weeds and lumpy last year with some intruding trees. No more. All have been leveled with either cement or crushed rock and have well cared for new grass between. Also there are new hookup posts. All sites now have a textured cement area for a picnic table and the trees have either been removed or trimmed high enough so they are not in the way of awnings and slides. The 5 rows of no hookup sites on a large grass area also have a picnic table for each. A fitness center has been added with 6 new stepper, treadmill and bike machines. The aircard for the laptop worked well here. Next to the dog park is a dog washing station with a large elevated basin, warm water and tie downs. The park was full but there was no noise at night at least in our end of the park. The common areas were kept clean and trash picked up. There are also recycle bins stationed throughout the park.

This is the sixth time we have stayed here in the last 24 months and the facility has remained clean, well maintained, with frequent tribal security patrols and friendly casino shuttles. There are 25 pull through sites and most of the rest are long enough for 45 footers. The concrete pads are wide enough for the rig and tables and chairs without needing to use the grass areas between sites. Bring your own table as none are provided. I did not try the WiFi as my AT&T air card worked fine. Gas, diesel and propane are available at the 24 hour station across the parking lot on the way back to Pechanga Rd. There are 2 dedicated big rig lanes for diesel well away from the main station. The overflow lot near the gas station is used by trucks and RV’s and their generators can be heard on quiet nights from the two rows nearest that side of the park. The park has been here long enough for some of the young trees between the sites to intrude over the pads below 13 feet above the ground. Trees are pretty but not when the wind scraps the limbs against the side of the slide. As one guy told me when he got off the casino shuttle, the diesel cost him $75, the parking was $100 and penny slots were $250.

For a non holiday weekend in mid March the park was at near capacity. The only open spots were a couple of the gravel pull through and a dozen short gravel back ins on top nearest to busy Hwy 46. The park is popular with groups and most of the pull through sites alternate direction so the entrances face each other. Our premium concrete site on the lower level was not very wide as the steps extended out on to the grass. On my walks around the park it looked like the hook ups for some of the pull through sites are on the wrong end if you are towing anything. Then there was a young tree on each end of the grass medium which prevented either rig from using their awning. Pretty perhaps but not good in the summer when it can get quite warm here and an awning is needed. The park is pet friendly and during our 5 nights there all of the campers observed the rules about picking up after them and on a leash. The office has puppy treats and welcomes a daily visit from the pets. As one camper told me when he walked back from the winery next door, his diesel cost him $75, the stay cost $100 and the wine was $250. We were here 2 ½ years ago and wish we could have stayed longer this time. We will be back.

This is a KOA property and was sold long ago by the owners of Circus Circus. For access to the strip, and only 3 miles from Downtown this is exactly where I want to be. The location is on the north end of the strip within walking distance to the Sahara and Riviera casinos across from Circus. If you do not have a toad the monorail runs from the Sahara south to the MGM with an easy walk to the rest of the strip casinos from 5 stops in between. Cost for a day pass is $12.00 and there are double-decker busses “The Duece” which run the entire strip and into downtown for $5.00 per day. The Wi-Fi is strong which allows me to work during the day and play at night. We are self contained so cannot rate many of the facilities. The people are friendly and the well stocked store/office is open from 6am to 11pm. Camping it is not, but this is Vegas and for the cost of a cheap strip room we have a nice one bedroom condo that is the equivalent to a suite with a kitchen. Most sites are pull through and the park has easy access from the I-15 without having to drive the strip. Leave the pets and children at home as the place is not pretty or a destination park for a vacation but it is convenient to one of the greatest adult destinations in the world. The best time to visit is when the temperature is tolerable from mid October to May. During the hot season the park power and your AC may not be able to handle the heat.

Each RV is required to dump the black tank at check in and is given a bottle of a non formaldehyde tank solution to use. The park is located on top of a ridge line which was leveled off and the hillsides around it shored up with cement blocks. The view is 360 degrees of rolling pine forests, deer and wild turkeys. A paved walking path runs around the outer edge of the park. The casino is a mile away, cannot be seen from the park and has a friendly shuttle running every 20 minutes. Next time we will spend several more days exploring the gold country, wineries and unique little shops of all kinds just down the road. Most spots are pull through with wide cement pads and even more grass between. A real gem.

This is the fourth time we have stayed here in the last 16 months and the facility has remained clean, well maintained, with frequent tribal security patrols and friendly casino shuttles. About 25% are pull through sites but the rest are plenty wide and long enough for 45 footers. The concrete pads are wide enough for the rig and tables and chairs without needing to use the grass areas between sites. Bring your own table as none are provided. The WiFi at G-5 was intermittent at best so I switched to my air card which had good coverage. Last time we were closer to the main building and the signal was better. There is construction equipment noise during the week from work on the main entrance road between Pechanga Rd and the RV park with more work on something beyond the South end of the park. Gas, diesel and propane are available at the 24 hour station on Pechanga Rd. There are 2 dedicated big rig lanes for diesel but they are away from the main station. An 18 hole golf course has just opened prior to the completion of an impressive club house. The basic rate for a motel room is $129.00 so the park charge is worth the price and the local vineyards took a lot more of our money than did the casino.

The narrow dirt/weed/grass sites on the north half of the park remain unchanged. In the year since our last visit they have removed many of the other narrow sites and replaced them with over 90 all new sites with a concrete pad or a level gravel pad. All of these new sites include a table on a concrete pad with wide new grass strips between the sites and new hookups. The premium sites in the 300 section on the south end of the park remain unchanged: dirt/grass but are wide and long enough for a toad. The playground equipment is all new and they put in a good sized dog play area and are making other improvements to the tent area. There are new Wi-Fi antennas with a strong signal where we were in the 300 section. More improvements continue to be made.

Well located next to a new home development over a mile from Hwy 99 and railroad tracks with 1/3 of sites pull through. Friendly staff, grass between sites, trash picked up at the site if left out by 9am. Park was less than 1/2 full on a Friday night and reservations were easy to arrange. Golf is included with the site so next time I will bring the clubs. Wi-Fi is strong and included. There are few nice places to stay between Bakersfield and Sacramento along old Hwy 99 but this is a gem.

Nice clean, safe place to park for a short visit to the area. Narrow sites but long enough to park the toad when off the caddy. A new outdoor superstore is going in on the hill above the COG along with a large truck stop. But the slope of the hill is high enough so that it will not be seen from the COG. About 1/3 of the sites are 50 amp with strong Wi-F included. Anything left outside will be wet when they water over night. We were here over the same weekend as last year and noticed little change since KOA took over other than the higher rates. Next year we will return.

A nice park among the trees located on a slope above I-40. Easy to find with helpful staff to guide you to your site. Our site was just wide enough for the slide and table but am glad no one was next to us. Many of the sites have been terraced but are far from level. With blocks our rear wheels were off the ground. Our site was located on the far side away from the freeway but the commercial truck traffic was a constant drone all night long. Also the main east/west railroad corridor for freight runs through the valley where the whistle sound travels throughout the quiet park. Glad we were not in a tent. The park is family friendly with many activities to keep them busy. As a stop on the way our destination this location works well.

A very busy park which is sold out on weekends but less than ½ full during the week. This was our second 3-night stay in 2 months and like the clean and safe nature of the park. Fewer than ¼ of the sites are pull through but the size of the back in sites gave us enough room for a car caddy and the toad. The recently installed WiFi works well and the frequent casino shuttle bus stops saves a long walk to or from the casino. The Temecula winery district is only 5 miles away which makes for some happy tasting and buying. We will return in Nov.

A wide spot on the road between here and there for a few hours rest but this KOA has little more going for it. The access road from the city street is past a busy Flying J truck stop and very rutted. Once in the park there is nothing but a small pasture between you and I-70. Our site was level but just long enough for our 56" length. The park felt safe with no traffic once people were parked. The WiFi worked well and after a long day on the road a Pizza Hut just outside the gate saved us from cooking that night.

A nice stop at the end of a long day with easy to access pull through sites on a large white gravel parking lot. If not for the electric boxes sticking up there is no demarcation between the roads and sites. Long term oil worker residents we in another area in the rear away from the travelers. I-80 was close but the noise did not intrude and there is an easy to use fuel stop at the same exit. Friendly staff, clean facility with a strong WiFi signal. Not a destination location but very good for a stop along the way

A quiet park well behind the casino with level cement pads and wide sites with grass between. No shade as the trees are young. No roads, train tracks or airports to be heard. The park is clean and well secured with a new strong WiFi system via antennas at each of the 2 bath houses. The $20 rate was after a $5 discount for having a casino card and they gave me that rate even before I got the card. Friendly staff and a casino shuttle run by the security patrol in small SUV's. If more than 3 or 4 need a lift they make 2 trips and do not accept tips. The fuel stop in front of the casino has 3 truck lanes for diesel. I am told that there is a small dirt race track within ear shot that runs Sat night programs and can be loud. We were away until late on Sat so do not know how loud. Spent 6 nights here and will stay again next time.
